Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American-born Vietnamese entrepreneur living in the city of Orange in California. Alongside my amazing partner JP and my jolly dad Henry. A majority of my followers are familiar with me from my Instagram @annephung. I document my life - the highs, the lows and all in between. The year 1990 was the time I emigrated to America along with my parents and brother as I reached the age of one and half. Without my parents' devotion to dedication and hard work and sacrifice, I wouldn't be here sharing my story. In order to give them a chance at a more prospering future, I aimed on success and worked hard to get there. My plan of life was for me to attend university, find work in a corporate as well as marry and then buy the house. My idea of success was to go to university to graduate, then get a corporate job. Then I'd get married, buy a house and start a family. However, life was not so sure. It was 2013 when I discovered that I didn't like working in my job as a corporate employee. Status and money did inspire me. I believed that I was just wasting my time in exchange for money. I possessed a love of working out and I enjoyed having fun and helping people as I navigated towards the new direction in my life. I found my calling in personal training. This year I will celebrate my 7th Anniversary. In 2014 I began my own company. As a Asian female working in the field, there are very few of us. As coach, my mission is to encourage others to lead a healthy and enjoyable life by establishing viable lifestyles that are suited to the individual's goals and needs. Also, I'm dedicated to supporting others so that they can reach the goals they set, pursue their dreams and live the life of your dreams. When my work began to take off, I experienced one of the biggest losses in my life to datein the death of my Mom. In Heaven she now rests in peace after a long battle with the disease known as Scleroderma. However, I carry my Mom with me and dream of her every day. It is possible to learn from the world, even if we might not be able to spot it in the moment. Many ways, the loss of my mother has changed my life. It is my belief that she provided me with another chance to be a part of her story after she passed away. She passed away in the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day it was time for her to begin her new life, and also I was given a second chance of living the most happy, joyful and meaningful life. In the 30's I am more vibrant than I have ever. I am able to say that I am living my life now, rather than just existing like I was before. My goal in telling my story is to show you that, you are not the only one. I want you to believe that love is real and that therapy can be normal. Your health is the most important asset you have. I pray that you will live life fully and that your death be without regrets, because that's all that we have to be confident about for the rest of our lives.
